Entrepreneurship Workshop: A Look Into Franchising – Feb. 21

The Center for Integrated Entrepreneurship is hosting several community workshops this semester to encourage members of Hiram College and the community to explore and develop their ideas beyond the classroom.

The first workshop, “Business Ownership Options: A Look Into Franchising,” will take place from 3-5 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2014 in East Hall Forum.

Jack Warren ’86, director of operations at Comfort Keepers, and Bonnie Warren, owner of the company, will facilitate the workshop. The workshop will help participants think through whether franchising – an appealing way to get a business started – is the right option. Topics include:

  • Why Own a Franchise
  • Pitfalls of Franchise Ownership
  • Misconceptions about Franchising
  • How to Find the Right Franchise

Entrepreneurship community workshops are free for Hiram College students, $10 for alumni and $20 for the general public. Reserve a spot by emailing your name, phone number and email address to entrepreneurship@hiram.edu.

Upcoming workshop topics include:

  • Smart Start – March 21, 2014, 3-4:30 p.m.
  • Show me the Money – March 28, 3-4:30 p.m.
