Fireside Chat – Jan. 22

firesidechat-main

Every Wednesday during the 12-week, the Center for Integrated Entrepreneurship hosts Fireside Chats with local entrepreneurs.

At 7 p.m. at East Hall Forum, entrepreneurs will discuss their journeys – how they started their business, what they did right, what they did wrong and where they are going next.

Jan. 22: “Family Business is in the Bag – or is it?” with Anahid Thompson, co-founder of Noubar Bags, Ltd.

Anahid and Armin Thompson grew up as members of a family-owned and operated Cleveland company, but they always wanted to find their own place in the family business. Utilizing vinyl waste from the family’s outdoor advertising business, the sisters launched their company creating one-of-a-kind handbags. They will tell the story of how they found their passion and voice.

This is the first Fireside Chat of the Spring 2014 semester.
