Four named to the Hiram College Board of Trustees

Four new members have been named to the Hiram College Board of Trustees. New Hiram trustees are:

  • David Carr, a 1984 graduate of Hiram College who serves as President of Brennan Industries Inc., a family owned business which is the largest independent manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic connectors in the United States. The company is headquartered in Solon, Ohio and has manufacturing operations in the United States, China and India. Carr is a resident of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
  • F. David Coleman, Director of Officiating for the National Football League.  Coleman is responsible for the operations and staff management of the NFL officiating department. He is a former college football official, Instant Replay Official for the NFL and was on the crew for the Super Bowl XL in Detroit. Prior to the NFL, he spent 38 years in Human Resources for several organizations. He resides in Newark, New Jersey.
  • James Malz, President, Northeast Ohio Region JPMorgan Chase & Co. Malz is a 1987 graduate of Hiram and has worked in banking for more than 20 years. Malz oversees more than 23,000 Ohio employees, 3.2 million consumer customers and approximately 162,000 small business clients. He resides in Brecksville, Ohio.
  • Bruce Shylo, Chief Operating Officer of The Shylo Group, graduated from Hiram in 1971. He is a management development consultant who uses his background in career education and sales training to help others become successful in their chosen field. His areas of expertise are performance management and improvement, organizational development and design and strategy alignment. He resides in Springfield, Ohio.

“We’re blessed to have outstanding people with extraordinary experiences who are willing to serve as ambassadors for Hiram College,” said Hiram College President Tom Chema. “Ours is a very strong and active board with individuals who give freely of their time and talents. I’m excited to welcome our new trustees to our community.”

Hiram College trustees serve six-year terms.
