Budding entrepreneurs will make their pitches to a panel of judges at the annual ideablitz! competition, at 5 p.m. on Nov. 7, in hopes of taking home prize money to explore and/or develop their idea or concept.
ideablitz! is presented by the Center for Integrated Entrepreneurship and will take place in Dix Dining Hall on the second floor of the Kennedy Center.
Students will compete both as individuals or as teams of up to five, with five minutes to pitch their idea to the panel, followed by a two-minute question and answer session. The judges will determine the top three prizes based on the criteria: idea or concept; market need and industry; technology attributes; competitive attributes and pricing; uniqueness; and quality of presentation. Prizes are cash awards of $500 (first), $300 (second) or $200 (third).
Students have had the opportunity to attend workshops in preparation for the event.
