A favorite Institute Weekend tradition, the Freshman Square Dance, 2012.

A favorite Institute Weekend tradition, the Freshman Square Dance, 2012.

A new class will begin its Hiram College journey this Friday, Aug. 23, with move-in day and Institute Weekend.

Institute Weekend introduces freshmen to campus and academic life at Hiram College. The Class of 2017 will experience several Hiram traditions – like the square dance and late night dodge ball – and learn the ropes academically as well, as they take their first Colloquium course and meet with academic advisers.

Welcome Week follows Institute Weekend, as the rest of the student body joins the freshmen for the first day of classes on Aug. 26. Please join us in welcoming the new class to the Hiram community. Starred activities are required for the Class of 2017.
