The SEEDS (Sustainability, Environment, and Engaged Design Scholars) Program is now accepting applicants, for the program’s second year.
The scholar program was established during the 2012-2013 academic year to educate next generation of environmental leaders, thanks to support from the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation.

The SEEDS program is open to traditional Hiram College students regardless of major. Each cohort of SEED Scholars is comprised of four to six exceptional students who demonstrate: deep curiosity about the world, self-motivation in learning, respect for ideas and diversity of perspectives, strong communication skills, an established interest in environmental issues and the inter-relationship between natural and human social systems.
