Green Energy Ohio Lecture Series – March 21

Green Energy Ohio (GEO) will bring its 2013 lecture series to Hiram College on Thursday, March 21 at 5 p.m. at the East Hall Forum.

Over the course of the year, GEO will present sixteen lectures throughout the state. Their goal is to gather and present ideas to the community, given Ohio’s emergence as a player in the dramatic shift toward renewable energy.

Thursday’s lecture, titled “When the BioMass Hits the Wind Turbine: How We Got Ourselves Into This Mess and How We Are Going to get Out of It,” will be presented by Jay Warmke, owner of Blue Rock Station, a 40-acre sustainable living center in Southeast Ohio. Warmke is also the author of green technology textbooks, and was named GEO’s Pioneer of the Year in 2011.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Hiram College’s Environmental Studies Department, Center for the Study of Nature and Society and Center for Integrated Entrepreneurship, have partnered with GEO to present this lecture.
