
Student entrepreneurs will put their ideas into action at ideabuild! 2013, on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m., at Dix Dining Hall.
ideabuild! is a yearly competition put on by the Center for Integrated Entrepreneurship, that allows students a chance to pitch their original idea to a panel of judges, with a shot at winning start-up money ranging from $250-$1,000.
Nine teams, made up of one to five students, will give a six-minute presentation on their idea, followed by three minutes of judges’ questions. Ideas and/or concepts must have been developed during the 2012-13 academic year. Students are expected to be knowledgeable about their concept’s customer base, profit margins, competitors, barriers to entry, industry trends and more.
