The Hiram College Board of Trustees Board elected two new members to fill vacant seats during their January meetings.
Dr. William H. Edwards, Regional Pastor and President of the Christian Church in Ohio (Disciples of Christ). A 1979 graduate of Hiram College, he has served churches in Kent, Ohio, and Tennessee. Edwards served as a member of Hiram’s Alumni Executive Board in the early 1990s and is an inductee into Hiram’s Athletic Hall of Fame for his performance on Hiram’s track and field teams.
Also joining the Board was Curtiss L. Isler, an attorney and a partner with the national law firm Tucker Ellis LLP. Isler is a veteran litigator whose specialty areas are business and class action litigation, mass tort and product liability law. He is a graduate of Miami University and earned his J.D. from the Ohio State University College of Law.
The Board also named Trustee Charles Miller to emeritus status during the meetings. Miller served as a trustee from 1999-2009, and was inducted into the College’s Garfield Society in 2000.
