The Career Center is hosting a week of activities for its annual Graduate School Week to better prepare students for the application process and demands of graduate school. All students are welcome to attend these events, though they may be of particular interest to juniors and seniors thinking about graduate school after Hiram.
Sunday, Sept. 30 – Learn to prepare for GRE, GMAT and LSAT
6 p.m. in the Library Instruction Room
Learn about study techniques, test structure, study groups and more, to prepare for the GRE, GMAT or LSAT.
Monday, Oct. 1 – Grad School 101
12:30 p.m. and again at 7 p.m in the Jagow Room of the Kennedy Center
Learn the basics of what graduate school is all about, when to go and why, through Grad School Bingo. Choose whatever session is most convenient for you.
Tuesday, Oct. 2 – Grad School Fair
11 a.m.- 2p.m. in the Kennedy Center
More than 40 grad school programs; talk to recruiters, learn what they expect. Even if the area that interests you is not represented, you can still benefit. View the list here.
Wednesday, Oct. 3 – State Department recruiter
4 p.m. Koritantsky Hall
Students can learn about the Foreign Service and State Department internships
Thursday, Oct. 4 – How to Finance Grad School
1-1:30 p.m. Jagow Room of the Kennedy Center
No money? There are ways to fund grad school without saving for years. Students can learn how to increase chances for assistantships and benefit from grad school.
