Biomedical Humanities Senior Seminars – January 26

Four senior biomedical humanities majors will present the research portion of their senior seminars tomorrow, January 26, beginning at 2 p.m. in Gerstacker 123.
- Stephanie Gasper (Canfield, Ohio; Western Reserve Local High School) will speak on “Development of a PCR-based Detection Method for Medically Important Streptococcus Species,”
- Michael Majetich (Chardon, Ohio; Chardon High School) will speak on “Identification of a Sulfolipids Family in White Winged Wood Ducks Infected With Avium Tuberculosis,”
- Sarah Polly (Spencer, Ohio; Cloverleaf Senior High School) will speak on “Hindbrain Gene Expression in Xenopus tropicalis Embryos,”
- And Simone Smit (Atlasburg, Pa.; Mount Lebanon High School) will speak on “Modifications of the Polyserine Tract in IE62 of Varicella-Zoster Virus may Hinder Replication in Neurons and Prove Effective in Future Vaccination Studies.”
