The list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.
The online list is a reference resource for veterans and their families looking to go to or return to college maximizing their G.I. benefits, as well as a raft of other services, including job and career information. The list is comprised of the results of surveys of more than 3,000 actual student veterans, and gauges an institution’s commitment to providing supportive environment for military students and their families.
Veterans who responded to the survey were asked to share insights into the student veteran experience at particular institutions based on peer reviews from current students. The schools have programs and policies for student support on campus, academic accreditation, credit policies, flexibility, and other services to those who served.
